How Cimizt works

Directions
Always take this medicine exactly as described in the patient information leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Take one tablet every day with water, with or without food, around the same time every day.
Each strip contains 21 tablets, printed with each day of the week so you can keep track. Take all 21 tablets, then take no tablets for 7 days. During this pill-free interval you will likely experience withdrawal bleeding, similar to a period. You should start the next strip on the 8th day, even if you’re still bleeding. You’ll be protected from pregnancy during this 7 day break, provided you’ve been taking the tablets as instructed.
If you haven’t used a hormonal contraceptive within the previous month, start taking Cimizt on the first day of your period to be immediately protected against pregnancy. If you’re changing from a different type of contraceptive, refer to the patient information leaflet for more information.
