Senna is a herbal medicinal product used for the short term relief of occasional constipation.
Details
Senna belongs to a group of medicines called laxatives. It contains sennosides which work by making bowel muscles contract more often and with more force. This increased muscle action moves bowel contents to the rectum to be emptied and relieves constipation.
How to use
Suitable for adults (18 years and over).
Swallow 1-2 tablets at bedtime with water.
New users should start with the lower dose and increase it if necessary.
Dose can be repeated up to 3 times a week. Do not use for more than 1 week.
Consult your doctor if your symptoms worsen, persist (no movement after 3 days), or if abdominal pain persists.
Ingredients
Each tablets contains Alexandrian Senna Fruit (pods) (Cassia Senna L.(C.acutifolia Delile) Fruit) corresponding to 7.5mg Hydroxyanthracene Glycosides, calculated as Sennoside B.
Also contains: Magnesium Stearate, Fennel Seed, Croscarmellose Sodium, Calcium Hydrogen Phosphate Dihydrate, Microcrystalline Cellulose, Colloidal Anhydrous Silica.
