Senna is a herbal medicinal product used for the short term relief of occasional constipation.
Details
Senna belongs to a group of medicines called laxatives. It contains sennosides which work by making bowel muscles contract more often and with more force. This increased muscle action moves bowel contents to the rectum to be emptied and relieves constipation.
How to use
Adults and the elderly: Two tablets at bedtime when required.
Children over twelve years of age: One tablet at night as required.
Dose may be taken up to 3 times within a week. Do not use for more than 1 week.
Ingredients
Each tablets contains Alexandrian Senna Fruit (pods) (Cassia Senna L.(C.acutifolia Delile) Fruit) corresponding to 7.5mg Hydroxyanthracene Glycosides, calculated as Sennoside B.
Also contains: Magnesium Stearate, Fennel Seed, Croscarmellose Sodium, Calcium Hydrogen Phosphate Dihydrate, Microcrystalline Cellulose, Colloidal Anhydrous Silica.
