What are Pollenase Hayfever Relief Eye Drops?

Pollenase Hayfever Relief Eye Drops are designed to relieve the discomfort of red, itchy and watery eyes caused by seasonal allergic rhinitis (hayfever). The active ingredient in these eye drops is sodium cromoglicate, a type of medicine known as an anti-allergic which works to reduce the inflammation caused by an allergic reaction.

How does sodium cromoglicate relieve itchy eyes?

The active ingredient in Pollenase Hayfever Relief Eye Drops is sodium cromoglicate, a type of medicine called an anti-allergic. It works by stopping your eyes from releasing chemicals that are naturally produced during an allergic reaction. Inhibiting the release of these chemicals will prevent inflammation and therefore relieve any redness or itchiness.

How to use these eye drops

Always take Pollenase Hayfever Relief Eye Drops exactly as described in the patient information leaflet or as your doctor / Chemist4U pharmacist has told you. Adults and children aged 6 and over should administer one or two drops into each eye four times a day. Always wash your hands before using these eye drops.

To use eye drops effectively, tilt your head back slightly and hold the bottle upside down near to your eye without letting it touch your eye. Release a drop inside your lower lid and close your eye for a minute or two. It may help to press gently on the side of your nose where the corner of your eye meets your nose, as this will prevent the drops from draining out through the nostril.
